More than 35 years in the building industry teaches you a lot about what makes a project successful, but it also gives you a pretty good understanding of the people and communities behind the work. Ben Freeman brings that experience to his new role as Operations Manager at CSS Fireplaces & Outdoor Living.

Originally from West Virginia, Ben has called Jacksonville home for 40 years and has spent much of his career working alongside the builders and construction professionals who have helped shape Northeast Florida. Along the way, he has built deep roots in the area, both personally and professionally.

Decades of Experience in Northeast Florida
Ben’s connection to the local building community extends well beyond his day-to-day work. He has been involved with the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) for approximately 20 years, volunteering his time and taking an active role in the organization. Most recently, Ben was recognized as a NEFBA Associate of Excellence, a designation that reflects the kind of industry involvement he has maintained throughout his career.

That experience and familiarity with the Northeast Florida building community make Ben a natural fit for CSS Fireplaces & Outdoor Living. As Operations Manager, he will work with our team, customers, and builder partners to help keep projects moving and continue the level of service people have come to expect from pir team.

For Ben, however, the work is about more than the products going into a home. When asked what he is most excited about in his new role, his answer was simple: “Helping people build a lifestyle.”

It’s a perspective that fits well with what we do every day. Whether we’re installing a fireplace in a new home, creating an outdoor kitchen for weekend gatherings, or working alongside one of our builder partners, the finished project ultimately becomes part of the way someone lives in and enjoys their home.

Getting to Know Ben
Outside of work, family is a big part of Ben’s life. He and his wife have three children and seven grandchildren, and spending time with them is high on his list whenever he isn’t working. He’s also very active in his church and enjoys fishing and sporting clays.

As Ben steps into his new role, we’re excited for our longtime customers and builder partners to get to know him and for new customers to have another experienced member of the CSS Fireplaces & Outdoor Living team in their corner.
